Kristine Opolais returns to Boston in the new year, as the soprano soloist for Shostakovich’s epic Symphony No. 14, with Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The concerts, hosted on February 1, 2 & 3, will be recorded for a future release on the Deutsche Grammophon label, as part of the BSO’s complete Shostakovich symphonic cycle. The evening’s programmes also include Mozart’s Serenade No. 10 in B-flat for winds, K.361, Gran partita.

She reunites with the BSO and Nelsons next summer at Tanglewood, where she will sing Mimí in a concert presentation of Puccini’s La bohème.
