Kristine Opolais performs a series of concerts with the European Union Youth Orchestra, under the baton of their principal conductor Vasily Petrenko, part of their Spring Tour, The Listening Project – part I. For the performances, Ms. Opolais will sing signature arias and songs, including Tchaikovsky’s Tatiana’s letter scene from Eugene Onegin, Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise, Puccini’s “O mio babbino caro” from Gianni Schicchi and “Un bel dì vedremo” from Madama Butterfly, and Boito’s “L’altra notte” from Mefistofele.

Concert tour dates include April 11 at Teatro Comunale Claudio in Ferrara, Italy; April 12 at Sala Verdi, Conservatorio di Milano in Milan, Italy; April 18 at Royal Opera House Muscat in Muscat, Oman, and April 23 at Grand Auditorium Philharmonie Luxembourg in Luxembourg City. During the tour, the EUYO will also perform fantastic programs, including Mikhail Glinka’s Overture from Ruslan and Lyudmila, Rachmaninoff’s Zdes’ Khorosho, Tchaikovsky’s Polonaise, Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 10, Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4, and Mascagni’s Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana.
