Kristine Opolais joins the NHK Symphony Orchestra for concerts in Tokyo and Nagoya this month. Under the baton of Fabio Luisi, Opolais will sing Strauss’ breathtaking Vier Letzte Lieder, and completing the program is Weber’s Overture to Euryanthe, and Strauss’ heroic tone poem Ein Heldenleben. This engagement marks Ms. Opolais’ debut with the ensemble.

Concert dates in Tokyo include January 22 & 23 at Suntory Hall and January 25 at Orchard Hall. In Nagoya, they will perform at the Aichi Prefectural Art Theater Concert Hall on January 26.
