Kristine Opolais makes her return to the Metropolitan Opera stage this winter in two of her signature Puccini roles, Mimì in La Bohème and the title role in Manon Lescaut. She stars as Mimì on November 16, 19, 23, 26 & 29 and December 3, with Piotr Beczała as Rodolfo, Brigitta Kele as Musetta, and Massimo Cavalleti as Marcello, with Marco Armiliato leading the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. The November 23 will also receive a LIVE free radio broadcast online – listen at the following link.
Ms. Opolais sings Manon Lescaut with Marcelo Alvarez as Des Grieux, also conducted by Maestro Armiliato, on November 21 and December 7 & 10.
Enjoy a preview of Kristine’s performance filled with “radiant warmth and sultry ardor” (The New York Times) in the aria “Sola, perduta, abbandonata” from her previous portrayal of the fallen heroine at the Met.
